Funmi Fadoju Extends Stay with London Pulse After Historic Season
England star Funmi Fadoju has confirmed she will remain with Netball Super League champions London Pulse for another season.
The 22-year-old goal defence was named player of the match in Pulse’s first-ever Grand Final title victory, helping them defeat defending champions Loughborough Lightning. Fadoju played a pivotal role throughout Pulse’s historic season, which also saw them top the regular season table and win the inaugural Netball Super Cup in March.
“It’s such a great team and I’m surrounded by some of the best players in the country,” Fadoju said. “What’s not to love? We push each other to be our best selves every day and I love everything about the team.”
By the conclusion of the Super League campaign, Fadoju led all players in interceptions, gains, and deflections, cementing her status as one of the world’s most exciting netball talents. Despite likely interest from Australia’s Super Netball league, she confirmed her happiness staying in London, where she grew up.
Fadoju joined London Pulse in 2020 and has earned 41 international caps, including competing at the 2023 Netball World Cup, where England finished second to Australia, who claimed their 12th title.
