A dance group that found fame after winning Britain’s Got Talent will open a brand new dance studio in Birmingham city centre.

Diversity’s bespoke venue, based in Icknield Street in the city’s Jewellery Quarter, will offer space for in-person dance classes, from children aged four up to adult professionals.

It marks the second venue for Diversity, who also have a studio in Southend, Essex, with street dance, commercial and contemporary dance lessons for all levels taught by core Diversity members. There will also be yearly productions and access to special masterclasses for students.

The venue will have an open day on Saturday 11 October, with classes beginning on Monday 13 October.

Diversity’s Ashley Banjo said: “What I love about Diversity is that we’ve never held an audition. It’s always been about the community and everyone who comes to learn and train with us.

“In one space you’ll have a world-class production being rehearsed and in another you have beginners who are learning their first ever piece of choreography.

“We can’t wait to open our doors in Birmingham which has always been a fantastic place to perform and our fans so supportive since we won Britain’s Got Talent.”
